Logo Design Cost in 2026: UK, EU and USA Prices Compared

Logo design cost runs from a few dollars to several thousand, depending on who designs it and what you receive. This guide gives the 2026 ranges, a budget calculator table and the official trade mark fees in the UK, EU and USA.

A professional logo costs roughly $300 to $2,500 from a freelancer and $2,500 or more from an agency, according to 2026 price surveys. Our own fixed price for a full logo package is €430, and the logo design cost you face depends mainly on who designs it, how many concepts you receive and which files and rights come with the result.

This guide sets out the ranges by provider type, explains what changes the price, and adds up a realistic budget in a calculator table. It also covers the official trade mark fees in the UK, EU and USA, because those are the costs most buyers forget to plan for.

Logo design cost by provider type in 2026

Published ranges vary by source, but the tiers are consistent. The table below uses 2026 sources, quoted in US dollars as published.

ProviderTypical priceSource
AI logo maker$20 to $129[Rootless Agency](https://rootlessagency.com/how-much-does-a-logo-cost/)
Marketplace gig (Fiverr)Listed from $5, usable package often $50 to $150[Design Elite](https://www.designelite.co/en/blog/hire-a-logo-designer), [Fivenson Studios](https://fivensonstudios.com/logo-design-fiverr/)
Professional freelancer$300 to $2,500[Digital Polo](https://www.digitalpolo.com/graphic-design-pricing/)
Design agency$2,500 to $10,000+[Ventanix](https://ventanix.com/how-much-does-a-logo-cost/)
Branding agency, full identity$5,000 to $25,000+[Twine](https://www.twine.net/blog/how-much-does-logo-design-cost/)

The sources do not agree on where an agency starts. GoodFirms says agency and branding-studio projects often begin around $800 and can reach $2,500 or more. One agency that published its own client data reports a median of $2,900, with half of its projects between $2,500 and $5,000.

Treat these as overlapping bands. The label on the provider matters less than what you receive for the money.

UK, EU and USA: where the price differs and where it does not

Most published price surveys are written in dollars, and none of the sources above split their ranges by buyer country in a way we could verify. In practice a UK, German or American buyer faces the same tiers: marketplace, freelancer, studio, agency. The tier sets the price far more than the postcode does.

Where the country does matter is the legal side. Trade mark fees are set by each national or regional office, so the cost of protecting the logo differs sharply between the UK, the EU and the USA. We cover those figures further down.

We work from the Czech Republic for clients in the UK, USA, EU and Australia. Our prices are fixed, in euros, and final: we are not a VAT payer, so nothing is added to the quote. For a country-by-country table of market prices, see our longer logo cost pricing guide.

What moves a logo price

Six variables explain most of the gap between two quotes. Design Elite lists them as concepts shown, originality, file formats, rights transfer, brand guidelines and revisions. In plain terms:

  • Concepts. More directions to choose from means more design time. We argue that fewer, better directions work best, which we explain in why 2 logo directions beat 10 concepts.
  • Originality. A drawn mark takes longer than a template with your name dropped in.
  • Files. Vector files (SVG, AI, EPS) let you print a business card and a shop sign from the same logo.
  • Rights. Fivenson Studios notes that full commercial rights and editable source files are frequently a paid add-on on marketplaces. Confirm ownership before you pay anyone.
  • Revisions. Each round costs time. A clear logo design brief usually removes the rounds that exist only because nobody wrote down what the company does.
  • Speed. Rush work costs more with almost every provider.

Logo design cost calculator: build your budget

A calculator for logo design cost does not need software. It needs three answers: do you have a logo worth keeping, how fast do you need it, and what else must launch with it. The table turns those answers into a total using our fixed prices.

Add the official trade mark fee for your market from the next section, and you have the full first-year budget for a visual identity. Anything beyond this table, such as naming or a style guide, we quote separately before work starts.

Costs outside the logo fee: trade mark filing

Designing a logo and owning it in law are two separate steps. Registration is paid to the trade mark office, not to the designer. Our article on why a logo is not protected until you register it explains the reasoning. The official fees for one class, filed online, are below.

MarketOfficial fee, first classAdditional classes
UK (UK IPO, from 1 April 2026)£205£60 each
EU (EUIPO)€850€50 for the second, €150 from the third
USA (USPTO)$350$350 per class

The UK figures come from Brabners, which reports that UK IPO fees rose by an average of 25% from 1 April 2026 and lists the £205 and £60 fees. For the EU, Cabinet Bouchara gives the official EUIPO fee as €850 for one class, €50 for the second and €150 from the third. The US base fee is confirmed by the USPTO, which sets $350 per class for a Section 1 or Section 44 application that meets the requirements.

Watch the US surcharges. Fish & Richardson explains that an extra $200 per class applies when goods or services are not worded exactly as in the USPTO ID Manual.

FAQ

Questions people ask

How much should a small business pay for a logo in 2026?

Published surveys put a professional freelance logo at roughly $300 to $2,500. Our fixed prices start at €175 for a refresh and €430 for a full logo with four concepts and a complete vector file set.

Is logo design cost different in the UK, EU and USA?

The provider type and the deliverables set the price far more than the buyer's country. The clearest regional difference is the official trade mark filing fee, which is separate from the design fee.

Why do some logos cost $20 and others $5,000?

The spread comes from the number of concepts, originality, file formats, rights transfer, guidelines and revisions. A cheap logo often leaves out source files or full commercial rights.

Does the logo price include trade mark registration?

No. Registration is a separate official fee paid to the trade mark office of the country or region where you want protection. Our logo fee covers design and files only.

Can I get my money back if I do not like the logo?

Yes. If none of the first logo concepts works for you, we refund the full amount within 5 business days.
